I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of Mr. Long's Despatch No. 299 of the 29th November, 1918,
and to inform Your Lordship that the estate of the late
Police Constable W. G. Johnston has not yet completely been wound up owing to a sum due on account of life Insurance
not being received. There is however a sum of g508.33 in
the hands of the administrator which will be sent to Mrs.
C. H. Johnston forthwith.
A gold watch and chain has also been sent
which owing to war restrictions could not be forwarded
before.
The mum due for Insurance will be forwarded
as soon as it is received.
